Son Heung-min has labelled the relationship he has with Ange Postecoglou very special, while he admitted that his heart is often bouncing when the Tottenham Hotspur boss is speaking in meetings before games.

Son was speaking in an interview with Men In Blazers as he suggested that it is almost crazy how the Spurs boss knows how to strike the right tone when speaking to the players.
Few could have imagined that Ange Postecoglou would transform Tottenham so quickly. Spurs fans could not wait for last season to end as the tenure of Antonio Conte fizzled out with a whimper.

Son Heung-min lauds the impact Ange Postecoglou has had at Tottenham
Tottenham supporters must have feared that his permanent successor would have a monumental task on their hands trying to turn the club’s fortunes around.
But Tottenham are a changed team under Postecoglou. They led the way in the Premier League for a large part of the opening months of the season. And he has transformed the form of a number of players, including Son Heung-min.

Son was made captain and seems to have rediscovered his best form after a couple of difficult years. And he suggested that he has been so impressed by Postecoglou during their time working together.

“To be honest, I saw him for the very first time in Australia in pre-season. The meeting was just fantastic. He just wants to play the way he wants to play. And he was very clear: we are going to play like this. You just have to follow our style of playing football. So everybody loves it, the way he talks, the way he handles the players. That’s obviously why we are here. So there’s room for improvement but the meeting, the impression of him was just fantastic and very special. And me and the gaffer have a very special relationship starting from 2015,” he told Men In Blazers
“It’s crazy actually, the way he speaks before the game, or even the day before, he’s taking the charge of the meetings and all the speeches. And after the game, we see the clips, the way he talks is just fantastic. As a human-being, as a coach, it is amazing, amazing. I’m 31 years old, I learned many things before. And as a human-being I feel like, yeah I have enough. But since he arrived, I still feel like, wow, I’m still a child. He gives so much advice,” he added.

“The way he speaks, my heart is bouncing. I just want to go out there and play for him and play for this club. It feels like he’s just part of my family, the way he speaks. Everybody feels the same.”

Spurs boss facing toughest challenge of tenure so far
Postecoglou is now facing arguably the biggest challenge yet in his short time as Tottenham boss. James Maddison is set to be out for the rest of the year. And Micky van de Ven is also sidelined.

Spurs lost their final two games before the international break. So some may be expecting them to slide down the table slightly over the coming weeks.
