JUST IN – Manchester united has handed Tottenham January transfer boost with Jadon Sancho exit decision [Full Details]

Manchester United have made a decision on Jadon Sancho’s potential exit in the January transfer window, which could have a huge impact on Tottenham’s business.

Tottenham’s January transfer business could be heavily influenced by Manchester United and the saga surrounding Jadon Sancho in the coming weeks. The Lilywhites are gearing up for an important window that could make or break their campaign when the season comes to an end.

Ange Postecoglou has impressed in his opening few months as manager, winning three Manager of the Month awards from the Premier League. With the side sitting top, playing impressive football all while implementing that new style with new players, all was looking good.

Then disaster struck as a mixture of key injuries and suspensions all came knocking at the exact same time, leaving the head coach with a dilemma. Rather than swaying from his principles, the side have continued to play his style, which may be to their long-term benefit.

However, in the short-term it has seen a form drop off as three defeats on the spin has left them in fifth and searching for their next points on the board. It’s clear from recent weeks that there is a need for further depth to help Postecoglou reach the point where his squad is able to compete at the very top.

The January transfer window could be key to that, with Juventus youngster Samuel Iling-Junior the latest star to be linked with a potential switch. The English winger has impressed at a young age for the Bianconeri, who have good connections with Spurs following previous dealings.

Any move could be dependent on the Serie A title challengers getting another deal over the line though, one for a possible replacement. Sancho has been one of those options touted in recent weeks, having fallen out with head coach Erik ten Hag, leaving an exit entirely possible.

According to a report from Calciomercato, Juventus are desperate to make a deal possible for the forward, who United are claimed to have “confirmed” will be leaving in January. The Italian club are looking at a possible loan with the option to make the deal permanent in the summer.

Whether that goes through or not remains to be seen, but it could be the switch the allows for Iling Junior to make his own switch to Spurs. As a result, many will be hopeful that each move can be completed to allow for Postecoglou to take a step closer to his ideal squad.
