Lakers Injury Report: 3 LA Starters May Not Play Vs Philadelphia.
For the second bout of your Los Angeles Lakers’ four-game road trip, it’s a bit unclear which LA starters will actually be able to suit up.
Per Jovan Buha of The Athletic, future Hall of Famers Anthony Davis (probable due to left hip/adductor spasms) and LeBron James (questionable with a left calf contusion) may not play against reigning league MVP Joel Embiid, presumptive 2024 first-time All-Star guard Tyrese Maxey, and the rest of their 11-5 Philadelphia 76ers in the Wells Fargo Center.
Another (newer) starter, shooting guard Cam Reddish, is questionable to return from the left adductor strain he suffered early in the Lakers’ eventual 131-99 blowout victory over the Utah Jazz Tuesday.
In Saturday’s 121-115 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers, second-year Michigan product Max Christie started in Reddish’s stead, chipping in 12 points on 5-of-7 shooting from the floor (2-of-4 from deep).
Meanwhile, three Los Angeles rotation players remain on the shelf with their respective long-term ailments. Recently-overpaid power forward Rui Hachimura continues to recover from the procedure he underwent on his fracture nose the other day.
Gabe Vincent has only played four regular season games as a Laker, and will not be playing his fifth in Philly as he continues to work his way back from a left knee effusion. Freshly-extended four Jarred Vanderbilt has yet to suit up for a single game this season, but he is said to be progressing from his left heel bursitis injury.
