Ange sends strong warning to cityzen.. as he assure spurs victory over man city amid injury

Ange Postecoglou has warned Manchester City that Tottenham will take the game to them, promising not to waver from his attacking football philosophy as he wants to show why they are a ‘big club’.
Postecoglou spoke at his pre-match press conference on Friday and, despite having so many injuries that they could construct a sidelined XI, the Spurs boss says he cannot wait for the ultimate test in football.
‘If you had to take a punt, what do you reckon I’d say?’ Postecoglou said when asked if his approach on Sunday will be more defensive. ‘Just a wild guess.

‘I don’t want to be flippant about it. And I get the question. But I don’t do what I do because I’m trying to prove a point.

‘You look at the top teams and there’s one common trademark amongst them – they’ve all got a plan, they invest in that plan, and they stick to it.
They don’t shy away from that at the first difficulty. Whether it is City or Arsenal or Liverpool. They’ve got a plan and they stick to it. You have to.
Whatever you believe in, whatever you really strongly believe in, you as a person, it only gets tested in the toughest of times. It doesn’t get tested when things are going well.’

Tottenham will be without Pape Sarr for the trip to City, making him their 11th injured player. ‘For me these are the important times because this will show what kind of football team we want to be,’ Postecoglou added.

‘You’re either going to be a club that tries to knock off the big clubs or you are a big club. You’re one or the other. My hope and my ambition is to make this a big club.
To do that, you have to be successful, you have to win things. To win things you’ve got to have a plan and you’ve got to stick to it and you’ve got to believe in it. I’m not going there to show people, “You watch me, I’m going to take it on”. It’s because I think that is the way forward for us.’
