Ange Postecoglou is set to bench ‘Mr Tottenham’, as he wasn’t included in the leaked Tottenham lineup

The latest Tottenham Hotspur team news hints ahead of the Premier League match against Wolverhampton Wanderers after Ange Postecoglou confirmed there will be changes.

Here’s the Tottenham Hotspur team that we reckon Ange Postecoglou will select to face Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League on Sunday.

Ange Postecoglou has said he will rotate his Tottenham team to face Wolves on Sunday afternoon in the Premier League.

Spurs are in between two season-defining Europa League quarter-final legs against Eintracht Frankfurt and Postecoglou will need to bring in fresh legs just three days after the 1-1 draw at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. He will also be wary of pushing any key players ahead of the return game in Germany on Thursday night.

However, Tottenham must be prepared for a tough game in Wolverhampton as they seek to clamber out of their current 15th spot in the table. Vitor Pereira’s side are in good form with three wins in a row and a fourth victory would bring them to within just two points of Postecoglou’s men.

Spurs have not won at Molineux since 2021 and have not beaten the West Midlands side home or away since 2022, losing three of their past four meetings. So it will be no mean feat for the north London outfit to get a result this time out and Postecoglou will have to balance his changes with keeping some players in their rhythm.

Here’s the Spurs side that we reckon the Australian will select to face Wolves on Sunday afternoon.

Goalkeeper – Guglielmo Vicario

The Italian could be in for a busy afternoon behind a much-changed team.

Right-back – Pedro Porro

The Spaniard, who scored a great goal on Thursday night, was rested against Chelsea so hasn’t played as much football in recent weeks.

Centre-back – Cristian Romero

Postecoglou needs to keep at least one of his centre-backs in the team and Van de Ven was cramping up towards the end of Thursday night’s game.

Centre-back – Ben Davies

The experienced Welshman will likely come into the team again as he did against Southampton.

Left-back – Djed Spence

The 24-year-old should be fresh and ready to raid up and down the left flank at Molineux.

Central midfield – Pape Matar Sarr

The Senegal international is due a start and it could come in Sunday’s match.

Central midfield – Yves Bissouma

Rodrigo Bentancur looked spent at the end of Thursday night’s encounter and Bissouma hasn’t started in a while.

Central midfield – James Maddison

Spurs struggle without a playmaker and Maddison right now is their only one until Kulusevski returns.

Right wing – Wilson Odobert

The Frenchman had a little issue that meant Postecoglou didn’t use him in midweek but trained on Friday and if fit he will likely start.

Centre forward – Dominic Solanke

Until Richarlison is fit enough Solanke is going to have to play at least an hour up front.

Left wing – Mathys Tel

Postecoglou praised the Frenchman on Friday and he could get a chance to start against Wolves.
