David Seaman makes score prediction ahead of Newcastle vs Tottenham today as he reveals Newcastle only won 1 away match this season
David Seaman has made his prediction for Newcastle’s Premier League clash away to Tottenham this afternoon.
Newcastle are looking to pick up their first away win since the 8-0 victory against Sheffield United in September while Tottenham are looking for their first win after picking up just one point in their last five.
On his podcast Seaman Says, the former Arsenal man has predicted a narrow win for Tottenham to put them level on points with Manchester City and put a dent in Newcastle’s Champions League hopes.
Seaman thinks Newcastle will struggle again away from home
Newcastle are coming off the back of a poor 3-0 defeat to Everton, yet another disappointing display away from St James’ Park.
Of course there were injuries, tiredness in the squad and no one to really bring off the bench to impact the game, but that still doesn’t excuse the individual errors made in the match like Miguel Almiron’s poor finish in the first half.
Tottenham will be a tough place for Newcastle to visit given the intensity they like to play with and, while Spurs may have some big injuries themselves, they don’t have the added pressure of playing in Europe or any Carabao Cup fixtures.
Seaman hasn’t predicted a blow out victory for Spurs, but he does think Tottenham will have just too much quality at home to overcome Newcastle and leave them in a tricky position ahead of the AC Milan game.
On his podcast, Seaman simply said: “I’m going to go 2-1 Spurs.”
