Chelsea star Conor Gallagher sent a three-word message to Ange Postecoglou amid Ange’s unending interest in signing him January [Full Details]

Fabrizio Romano has said that Tottenham are continuing to closely track Conor Gallagher’s situation, revealing that Ange Postecolgou is a ‘big fan’ of the Chelsea star.

Several outlets have reported over the last week that Chelsea are ready to cash in on Gallagher in January to raise funds to sign a centre-forward, with Tottenham allegedly ready to pounce on the 23-year-old as soon as he is put on the shop window (talkSPORT).

A couple of days ago, TEAMtalk claimed of around £40m from Spurs would be enough to take player away from Stamford Bridge in next month’s transfer window.

However, the outlet suggested that the Lilywhites could face competition from West Ham, who may also reignite their interest in the midfielder after failing to sign him last summer, while Man Utd were also said to be keeping an eye on developments.

Postecoglou a fan of Conor Gallagher

Romano has now also talked up the chances of Tottenham making a move for Gallagher, asserting that the England international might be put up for sale by Chelsea even though Mauricio Pochettino values him highly.

The journalist said in his Daily Briefing: “Mauricio Pochettino is happy with him but now the player and club have to decide what they want to do.

“There’s still no agreement on a new deal and if the situation doesn’t change, Chelsea could be open to selling Conor in case of an important proposal.

“Tottenham keep following this situation closely because Ange Postecoglou is a big fan of the player.”

I can see why Postecoglou feels Gallagher would be a good fit for his system, given the energy that the Chelsea star possesses. He would be a considerable upgrade on Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and it is an added bonus that the 23-year-old is homegrown.
