The current club captain, who is expected to be replaced as the leader of the dressing room this summer following the arrival of Julen Lopetegui, has been advised by the club that his services are no longer required – as was reported by Ex earlier this week.
It’s now been reported by our insider that the club are in talks with a Dubai club regarding the potential transfer of the former Chelsea defender, although others in Saudi are also said to be interested.
“It appears the club have been actively seeking someone to take Kurt Zouma off our hands as we exclusively revealed previously,” stated Ex on The West Ham Way Patreon. “We now believe there has been a taker from the Dubai, with some Saudi clubs keen too.
“We are prepared to let him go for a nominal fee and would even consider a free transfer if the club would take all of his wages over. It appears we have found a taker that are prepared to pay all of his wages.“Zouma only has one year of his contract left and he has been told it will not be renewed at the end of the season and with his knee injuries he is unlikely to find anyone who will pay anywhere near the wages he is on at West Ham.
“The club are said to be offering him a contract longer than a year too. This will suit both parties and enable West Ham to spend his wages elsewhere. Zouma is said to be happy at West Ham but this move may be too good to turn down financially for the player.”
