“He has caused more harm than good”: Jamie O’Hara singled out one Spurs star who has caused more harm Tottenham due one weakness in him [See Details]

“He has caused more harTottenham Hotspur signed Brennan Johnson from Nottingham Forest at the start of the season.

The 22-year-old has done reasonably well at his new club but former player Jamie O’Hara has now spotted a weakness in his game. The former Tottenham midfielder believes that Johnson is weak in front of goal and he will have to improve that area of his game.

“Brennan Johnson I like but he’s a bit weak in front of goal, that’s the problem with him,” he told talkSPORT (broadcast on 28/12 from 6:00)

“I like him and what he does, he has pace and causes problems for other teams but he’s a bit weak in front of goal.

“I think he will get better but if you can have someone who can come off the bench if, say Son, Richarlison or Kulusevski are not doing it, you have someone you can go to off the bench and come on and really produce that’s what we need.”

The talented young winger is still only 22 and he is likely to improve further with coaching and experience. There is no doubt that he will get better in the near future. In addition to that, Johnson scored 29 goals in his last two seasons with Nottingham Forest before moving to Tottenham.

It is evident that he has goals in his game and he will certainly add more consistency to his play with experience.

The 22-year-old is a prodigious talent with a big future ahead of him and Tottenham could nurture him into a top-class Premier League attacker. The North London outlet will have to be patient with his development and allow him to grow without being put under too much pressure.

Ideally, Tottenham should look to bring in an established attacker to support Son Heung-min in the attack so that young players like Johnson can develop in their own time. Tottenham chose not to replace Harry Kane in the summer and Son has had to carry the goal-scoring burden all by himself.

The South Korean clearly needs more help in the attack and therefore there has been more pressure on players like Johnson to score goals consistently.
