JUST IN – Radu Dragusin agent finally breaks silence on Tottenham transfer as he sent a three-word message to Spurs.

Tottenham have been sent a huge warning by the agent of Radu Dragusin as talks continue over a January switch for the Genoa player. Ange Postecoglou is in desperate need of a new centre-back with Cristian Romero recently joining fellow first-choice option Micky van de Ven on the injury list.

The Lilywhites had been linked with Nice star Jean-Clair Todibo, although it now seems their focus is firmly on the Romania international. This season for Genoa, Dragusin has made 18 Serie A appearances with two goals and one assist to his name from defence after scoring the only goal for his side in the draw against Inter Milan.

While it may have appeared Dragusin was the back up option to Todibo, football.london understands the former was confirmed as a potential Tottenham transfer target by a two-man scouting trip last month. Juventus’ Samuel Iling-Junior, who came off the bench in the second half, was another player watched by both technical director Johan Lange and his chief scout Rob Mackenzie.

Postecoglou is said to want an addition in the first weeks of the winter window, with that desire confirmed further by his comments after the 4-1 in against Newcastle in December despite the stellar efforts of Ben Davies. “Centre-back is still a position, especially in our structure, where you need outstanding attributes and we’ve been very fortunate to have him that he’s been able to adapt there,” Postecoglou said of the Wales international.

“He’s great at taking on information. He’s been helped by having Romero back and Vic has taken on a leadership role back there as well. We need to sign another centre-back though because at the moment we’re on tenterhooks in case something else happens there.”

Despite it looking as though Dragusin will be that addition, recent comments from his agent suggest otherwise. “He does not think about money, but about prospects for growth and the team he can play for,” Florin Manea said to TV Play, via Football Italia, in Italy. “We were contacted by Saudi Pro League clubs, but he did not even want to listen to their proposals. “Personally, I have not been contacted by Napoli, Roma or Milan.
