“We are not done yet”: Ange Postecoglou has states Tottenham transfer ‘objectives clear’ as he reveal plans for the rest of transfer window and hints on possible players to come in before the window closes

“We are not done yet”: Ange Postecoglou has states Tottenham transfer ‘objectives clear’ as he reveal plans for the rest of transfer window and hints on possible players to come in before the window closes.

Ange Postecoglou has added two new faces to his Tottenham Hotspur squad already this month, but in his latest press conference, the Spurs boss revealed he may not be done just yet.

Tottenham fans are not used to the club moving so quickly in the transfer market, but less than two weeks into the January transfer window, the Lilywhites have already improved in two key areas in the squad.

First and foremost, Spurs needed a new central defender, and Radu Dragusin has now officially made the move to North London. The 21-year-old will provide competition and cover for both Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven.

Meanwhile, Ange Postecoglou got his wish in finding a new wide attacker, with Timo Werner joining on a six-month loan deal. The German will step in while Heung-min Son is away on international duty this month, and could well become a permanent fixture in the starting XI.

Postecoglou hints Spurs could make another signing

So, with time left to play with this month, is Postecoglou content with the work the club has done, or does he want more signings? Speaking to the press (via Football.London), Postecoglou hinted there could be further activity in the market.

He said: “We’ll see. We had some pretty clear objectives which we’ve ticked off for now. I think I said every window is an opportunity for us to get better.

“If there’s an opportunity for us to get better we’ll take it, but what we were trying to achieve going into it I’m really pleased we’ve got two players in who I think will play a really important part for us in this second half of the year and beyond.”

Spurs Web Opinion

It has already been a good transfer window for Spurs, but there’s time to make it even better. If we can move on Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, and bring in a central midfielder better suited to Postecoglou’s system, then we will make a real statement of intent.
