Clinton Morrison has criticised Cristian Romero after Rasmus Hojlund opened the scoring for Manchester United in the very early stages of their clash with Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
Rasmus Hojlund broke the deadlock inside three minutes at Old Trafford. The Denmark international produced a thunderous strike after seemingly stealing the ball from Marcus Rashford’s path.
It was a much-needed reminder of Hojlund’s unbelievable potential, as he scored only his second goal in the Premier League. But Ange Postecoglou may not be best pleased with his captain for his part in the goal.

Cristian Romero returned to the side for the game after missing the last few weeks due to injury. And Tottenham fans may have been hopeful he and Micky van de Ven could pick up where they left off.
The Argentinian seemed to be concerned about the ball striking his arm as Hojlund got himself into a yard of space inside the penalty area.
And speaking on BBC Radio Five Live, Clinton Morrison felt that Romero made a real error not doing more to try and close Hojlund down.
“And you know the one thing I don’t like with defenders, they put their arms behind their backs, Romero, go and engage it, he’s backing up,” he said.
Spurs defender’s handball concerns understandable
In fairness to Romero, you can understand why he was worried about giving away a penalty. The handball laws appear to be so difficult to follow that it probably is just easier for defenders to keep their arms behind their back.
However, where he should have arguably done better was closing the 20-year-old Manchester United striker down before he got the strike away. It was almost as though he reacted a lot slower than everyone else inside the box.
Hojlund should have not had that amount of space inside the penalty area. And he made the most of the opportunity, leaving Guglielmo Vicario with absolutely no chance.
