JUST IN – Real Madrid planning a total invasion of Tottenham team in the coming summer as reports reveal Spain Giants are targeting Ange’s Favorite Key Forward.
Having made early signings in the transfer window, Tottenham Hotspur are open to parting ways with some players.
They have already moved Hugo Lloris, Eric Dier, and Ivan Perisic and there’s a possibility that Spurs’ centre-forward Richarlison might be on the move as well but in the summer.
As per George Sessions, the correspondent for PA Sport covering the club, the Brazilian striker could end up at Real Madrid.
This is what George Sessions had to say regarding the saga involving former Toffees number nine, speaking on The Spurs Chat Podcast.
He said:
“Unless someone from the Saudi league comes in with a massive bid, or from a romantic side, Real Madrid come in. If Richarlison has a great end to the season and Real Madrid want another Brazilian number nine, that’s always been one that you could maybe see happening.”
Tottenham signed the striker from Everton for a deal worth £60m but failed to live to his expectations.
He had a challenging start, scoring only one goal in his debut Premier League season. Nevertheless, he has made a strong comeback this season, impressively netting seven goals and providing three assists in the league midway through the campaign.
Real Madrid are not the only club who have been linked with a move for him in the past. He has also attracted interest from the Saudi Pro League for some time now.
Nonetheless, there’s a chance that Real Madrid might pursue the target man. As Los Blancos continue their search for a permanent replacement for Karim Benzema, Richarlison emerges as a potential option. His playing style would complement the team, especially alongside his compatriots Vinicius Jr. and Rodrygo.
