Spurs have been linked with a move to sign Gallagher for months now. It’s clear that Ange Postecoglou likes the midfielder and would like to sign him, and Daniel Levy could make a very late attempt to get him this month.

Tottenham deserve a lot of praise for the business they’ve done in this window so far.
Spurs have let the likes of Hugo Lloris, Ivan Perisic and Eric Dier leave and have brought in two solid players – Timo Werner on loan and Radu Dragusin on a long-term deal.
Ange Postecoglou is keen to further strengthen his squad, and midfield seems to be the area of immediate focus.
Conor Gallagher has been linked with Spurs for months now, and journalist Paul Brown has now suggested that Daniel Levy could make a last-minute move to sign him on deadline day.
He told GiveMeSport: “Spurs have been interested in Gallagher for a long time, but they just think the price is too high.
“I would still expect Daniel Levy to have a little nibble before the end of the window, but probably quite late in the day just to test, and it will be a real test of Chelsea’s business plan if Spurs were to come in with a semi-decent offer.
“But I don’t think it’s a case of, if we don’t get Gallagher we must get someone else. I think Spurs will try for Gallagher but not in any major way before the end of the window. If they don’t get him, they will be happy to stick with what they’ve got.”

Chelsea‘s new owners have made a number of questionable decisions since they took over, but selling Conor Gallagher could top everything.
The Englishman has been one of the Blues’ best players this season. Mauricio Pochettino clearly likes him, and there’s just no footballing reason to push him out of the door.
However, selling Gallagher would be a big help to Chelsea with respect to Financial Fair Play, but we still think it would be silly to let him go to a direct rival.
Tottenham are on the rise, and the last thing any Chelsea fan would want is to see their side strengthen one of their biggest rivals.
