The likes of Tottenham, amongst other teams, might just decide the fate of the Dutchman from now until the end of the season.
If the likes of Ange Postecoglou’s side stop Manchester United from securing Champions League football, and they don’t win the FA Cup, then it may well be curtains for his time at the club.
But the former Ajax boss, despite having to prepare and deal for such a huge FA Cup showdown against Liverpool yesterday, still had time to see the goings-on in the Premier League over the weekend.
The Manchester United boss highlighted ‘we are happy’ that Tottenham were beaten at Fulham on Saturday, whilst Aston Villa dropped points away at West Ham United, as he told his post-match press conference.
As of this moment, it’s Unai Emery’s Villa holding the keys in fourth. They are nine points clear of the Manchester-based club having played a game extra.
Whilst Tottenham are six clear and in with a chance of securing that final UCL spot if fifth spot opens up for English football.

“I am very proud of the run we are in,” said ten Hag.
“We know we still have to catch up because we are, of course, happy with the loss of Spurs. Villa dropped points.
“We are happy with being in a semi-final, but we have to keep going. The progress is there, from January on in every game we are scoring. We are getting better and defending better.”
Top-four battle
There is no doubt that this will go down to the wire simply because all three just aren’t consistent enough.
Injuries have hit all three hard this term, including the inability to secure clean sheets and put in strong defensive performances.
You assume that, from now until the end of the campaign, that won’t stop and it will just be a case of which team is the least inconsistent.
