Tottenham Hotspur captain Heung-min Son has issued a message to the fans ahead of Saturday’s game.
Ange Postecoglou’s men return from the international break this weekend with a Premier League clash against Luton Town.
And captain Heung-min Son will be looking to lead his side to a top four finish with Champions League football on their minds.
What Heung-min Son has said following South Korea duty
It was an positive international break for the Spurs captain who played twice for South Korea against Thailand.
The 31-year-old was also able to score twice – once in each game – with his effort on Tuesday a seriously impressive solo goal.
Despite only finishing his international commitments on Tuesday afternoon, the Spurs captain has already confirmed he has returned to north London.
He posted on his Instagram with a message to both South Korea and Tottenham fans with full focus now on the remainder of the Premier League campaign.
He said: “I have safely returned to England after completing the call for the national team. I think this time’s call was a period where the players were even more grateful. In this difficult atmosphere, I was proud to lead the team by keeping their personal hearts folded and dedicated to the team.
“It was a special invitation to have a glorious place together again. It was hot and hot, but thanks to the love of the fans, it was warm and cool. Thanks are not enough for the motivation and the love you gave us to go one step further and the words of love. The season is not long left but I will do my best to make the fans happy and I can play football happily.”

It has been a stunning 2023/24 campaign for the South Korean who has taken his game up a level under Postecoglou.
Son has always been a reliable figure in front of goal for Spurs, but he has really taken on the leadership role following the Australian’s appointment.
Having been made the captain and losing his attacking teammate in Harry Kane over the summer, Son has shown no sign of slowing down.
And it is apparent some of the players who joined over the summer have been impressed with what they have seen of Son.
Guglielmo Vicario has admitted he’s been blown away with Son both on and off the pitch. He said: “Of course in terms of training, but I think the most important thing you can see from a captain is the way in which he behaves and he’s perfect every day in trying to push our squad to try to achieve the best and try to do the best day by day and try to improve.
“I think Sonny is doing unbelievable as a footballer but also as a captain and a leader. He’s very important for us.”
Spurs have their eyes on Champions League football for next season and it is clear they will need Son at his absolute best if they are to achieve that.
The South Korean has been one of the few players at Spurs to avoid missing game time through injury this season.
And hopefully that continues with some huge games ahead in the coming weeks.
