Alan Shearer Unleashes Fury: James Maddison’s Heartbreak Over Ruthless Tottenham Move Revealed! [Check Comment For Full Story Link]
James Maddison has had a fantastic time of it at Tottenham this season.
He was one of the best players in the Premier League before his injury, and while he’s not quite been at that level recently, he’s still had a fantastic season.
The midfielder’s decision to join Tottenham this summer has been justified, but according to Alan Shearer, there may be one thing since joining Spurs that Maddison won’t be too happy about.
James Maddison won’t be happy with one thing at Tottenham.
Speaking on the Match of the Day Top 10 Podcast, Alan Shearer and Gary Lineker were discussing Maddison as they ranked the 10 best Premier League players ever to be relegated.
Shearer was full of praise for Maddison and his move to Tottenham, but Shearer did note that he thinks Maddison will have been devastated when Harry Kane was sold this summer.
“I’m interested Alan that you have Maddison down as a better player than Joe Cole?” Lineker asked.
“Yeah, what he’s made himself. How good he was at Leicester, he’s gone to Spurs and had an injury in the early two or three months at Spurs. You could tell that was the right club for him, and he was probably devastated when Harry Kane left, he must’ve spoken to him before he went there, but it hasn’t affected him at all,” Shearer said.
Imagine Maddison and Kane
Maddison probably was gutted when Kane left this summer as there was so much talk around this potential partnership.
We’ve had a sneak peek of what Kane and Maddison can be like together for England, but we can only wonder what could’ve been if they’d played together at club level.
These two are undoubtedly two of the best in the business, and if they found a way to combine in the right way at Tottenham, they could’ve been magic, but, unfortunately, it wasn’t to be.
