Jamie O’Hara urges Spurs to sacrifice Richarlison and sign 24-year-old instead [Check Comment For Full Story Link]
Jamie O’Hara has urged Tottenham Hotspur to sign Alexander Isak from Newcastle United, calling on his former club to offer some of their fringe players to the Magpies as part of the deal.
It was reported earlier this week that Isak, who has been one of Newcastle’s best players since arriving at the club two years ago, could potentially be on his way out of St James’ Park this summer.
The Sun were the first to carry that story, suggesting that the Magpies might have to sell some of their players in order to comply with FFP regulations.
The publication revealed that Newcastle were bracing themselves for bids from both Spurs and Arsenal for the centre-forward, who they allegedly value at £100m.
The two North London clubs’ interest in Isak was subsequently backed up by Football Insider, who added that Spurs have allocated a big portion of the summer budget to sign a top-class number nine.
O’Hara has urged the Lilywhites to offer Richarlison and a couple of other players to Eddie Howe’s men as part of a deal to bring the 24-year-old strike to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The pundit told talkSPORT (02/04, 11.10 PM): “Newcastle might have to sell Isak and I know Spurs would love him. It is a step forward for Isak. I don’t think they would spend £100m – but Spurs have been linked, and I’d love him. I’d do a swap deal.
“We give you £30m and Richarlison. I’d even throw in Djed Spence. Throw in Dane Scarlett as well, he’s young, up and coming. You’re going to lose Isak, gonna lose him. Emerson Royal, back up for Trippier.”
Spurs Web Opinion
It would take a monumental offer to convince Newcastle to sell Isak, particularly since the striker seems to be quite happy at St James’ Park. I do not see Tottenham getting involved in the race for the Swede this summer.
