Arsenal skipper blames Ange Postecoglou and Daniel Levy for such MISTAKE

Arsenal skipper Martin Odegaard has raved about a player who left Tottenham Hotspur last summer.

Spurs are enjoying an encouraging first season under Ange Postecoglou, with the Aussie aiming to guide the north Londoners back into the Champions League.

Tottenham endured a miserable campaign last time out which saw them miss out on Europe for the first time since 2009.

Many expected another tough season for Spurs this time around, particularly after Postecoglou lost his star player Harry Kane.

The England captain completed a £100 million move to Bayern Munich last summer and it’s fair to say he’s excelled on an individual level in Germany.

Despite Kane registering 50 goal involvements in 37 appearances this term, Bayern look set to miss out on the Bundesliga title to Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen. But the former Spurs star still has an outside chance of landing major silverware in his debut campaign.

A familiar foe stands in Kane’s way as Bayern are set to face Arsenal in the quarter-finals of the Champions League. And ahead of Tuesday’s first leg at the Emirates stadium, Martin Odegaard has been speaking about Kane.

Odegaard lauds former Tottenham star Kane

Speaking to NBC Sports ahead of Arsenal’s clash against Bayern, Odegaard singled out Kane for praise.

“He is a good player, of course. I have played against him a few times and we know the quality, especially in the box and he’s also good in the link-up,” the Arsenal skipper said.

“He’s a good player and a good team we are facing on Tuesday.”

How many goals has Kane scored against Arsenal?

Kane was a real thorn in the side for Arsenal during his time at Spurs.

The Englishman is the north London derby’s top goalscorer, having netted 14 times in 16 appearances against the Gunners for Tottenham.

Spurs fans will certainly be hoping to see Kane do the business against their rivals this month and knock Arsenal out of the Champions League.
