“You don’t have plans featuring me, why keeping me here”: Tottenham star breaks silence and fires brutal message to Ange Postecoglou as he seeks clarity over his Tottenham future
Bryan Gil wants to part ways with Tottenham Hotspur in the upcoming summer transfer window.
After an impressive rise at Sevilla, the North London club forked out around £21 million to sign Gil back in 2021 with Erik Lamela joining the Spanish outfit in return. The 23-year-old versatile attacker was expected to have a bright future at Tottenham but that hasn’t been the case.
Gil has failed to cement his place in their first team and is now seeking clarity over his future at the club as per a report by GiveMeSport. The Spanish international wants to part ways with Spurs and the club are ready to sanction his departure.
After failing to make an impact since his arrival at the club back in 2021, he returned to Spain at the start of 2022 for a short loan spell at Valencia. While he was part of the Tottenham squad for the first half of the 2022/23 season, he ended up joining Sevilla in the winter of 2023 for another loan stint.
The 23-year-old decided to stay at the North London club for the 2023/24 season. After getting limited opportunities in the first half of the season, he did have an opportunity to leave on loan but Gil decided to fight for a place in the team.
Bryan Gil needs to play more often
Unfortunately, he only has 11 appearances and 221 minutes of first-team minutes throughout the ongoing season. The lack of game time has frustrated the Spanish attacker and he now seeks clarity over his future. The 23-year-old is pushing for a move away from the club and according to the report, Spurs are ready to sell him in the summer.
Meanwhile, Feyenoord are interested in his services and they would like to sign the versatile forward who can feature on both flanks and as an attacking midfielder on a permanent basis in the summer.
