Journalist Ben Jacobs has said that there is a decent chance that Tottenham Hotspur will soon look to test the waters with Wolves with a potential deal for Pedro Neto.

Ben Jacobs delivers update on Spurs interest in Pedro Neto

Neto has been heavily linked with a switch to Spurs over the course of the summer window and the speculation linking the Portuguese international with a move to N17 shows no signs of dissipating.

Just a few days ago, GiveMeSport revealed that as things stand, there is no clarity on whether the 24-year-old will still be at Molineux Stadium next season and Wolves open to suitable bids.

However, the outlet made clear that Wolves do not want to lose their star man on the cheap and will demand a minimum of Β£60m for him, while Spurs only value the player at around the Β£45m mark.

Over recent days, a number of publications have also suggested that Arsenal could challenge their North London rivals for the former Braga winger’s signature (TEAMtalk).

Tottenham could test the waters with a bid for Pedro Neto

Jacobs has now offered an update on Neto’s future, stating that a move from Spurs to try to bring the winger to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium could very much be on the cards.

He told The Wolfpack’s YouTube channel: β€œThe plan is to keep Pedro Neto, but it would be a surprise if between now and the end of the window Spurs don’t make some approach to test the waters there.

β€œWith PSG it’s just a discussion, they’re talking about other targets. I think there is a concrete possibility that Spurs come calling.”
