Tottenham Hotspur Are Leading The Race For This Gifted Full-Back: Is He A Star In The Making?
Tottenham Hotspur are leading the race for Palmeiras full-back Marcus Vinnicius as they look to strengthen their squad for the long run.
In a recent report, Premier League Brasil claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are leading the race for Palmeiras full-back Marcus Vinnicius. It has been mentioned that Spurs are ahead of Newcastle United, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Benfica in pursuit of the Brazilian starlet.
Vinnicius’ Impressive Rise In Brazilian Football
Vinnicius has caught the eye at times with his performances in the youth levels of Brazilian football. The 17-year-old is a product of Palmeiras’ youth academy and is amongst the best young players in Brazilian football at the moment.
The talented teenager proved his worth at times on the left flank and has done well to put in a few eye-catching performances in Brazilian youth football. Vinnicius has the ceiling to be a world-class player in his position someday. Hence, he would be a terrific signing for Spurs to pull off in the long run.
However, Vinnicius is still waiting to prove his worth in top-flight football. Hence, Angelos Postecoglu would have to be patient with his progress before he can unlock his true potential at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Tottenham Hotspur Are Leading The Race For Vinnicius: Is He A Star In The Making?
Vinnicius is a solid tackler of the ball and can time make the odd interception for his team inside his half. The Brazilian talent doesn’t mind putting his foot through the ball when the opposition are on the front foot. He can even create some meaningful openings for his teammates from the left flank when he is playing well on the field.
Vinnicius is primarily a left-back but can also function as a left-sided wide player if asked to do so by his manager. However, he is still quite inexperienced at the highest level. The Brazilian whizkid has the makings of a top talent. Hence, he would be a great signing for Spurs to pull off before the end of this summer transfer window.
At 17, Vinnicius is undoubtedly a star in the making as long as he continues to improve with each season. Hence, Tottenham boss Angelos Postecolgu would be wise to get a deal over the line for the Brazilian starlet ahead of the new campaign as he would be a success story at the North London club in the long run.
