Mitchell meets Tonali and Howe’s embrace with new signings – Behind-the-scenes footage

After the return of pre-season training at the back end of last week, Newcastle United have released an eight-minute clip of the squad reporting for duty at our Benton training base.
The clip shows new signings Odysseas Vlachodimos and John Ruddy meeting their new teammates and Eddie Howe, also featuring new sporting director Paul Mitchell saying hello to Sandro Tonali for the first time as the Italian edges closer to his eagerly awaited comeback.
Joelinton is a big presence in the clip (watch it in full below), which shows the likes of Pope, Gillespie, Lascelles, A.Murphy, Ashby, Burn, Lewis, Hall, Livramento, Willock, Longstaff, White, J. Murphy, Barnes and Wilson back at Benton and in great spirits.
Newcastle fly out to Germany today for a training camp at Adidas’ HQ, with a friendly against Hull City also planned later this month before we fly out to Japan on 28th. See our pre-season schedule in full below:
