Archie Gary, originally a midfielder, played in the right-back role at Hotspur Way last year, which further added to the hype around his attributes.
Undeterred by the millions
Multiple Premier League elites expressed interest in landing the 18-year-old this summer, and the North Londoners had to pay a mammoth sum of £40 million, which is generally unheard of for a teenager in the second tier of English football. The significant fee reflects the potential he possesses, and Ben Jacobs believes that Tottenham got a good deal despite the fees involved.
The journalist insists that Grey is destined to go to the very top and acknowledges the fact that Tottenham have generational talent at their disposal.

Spurs are looking at this as a signing for a midfielder rather than a right-back. Even though he played for Leeds as a right-back.”
