Tottenham receive bad news regarding Desire Doue
Desire Doue is one of the most exciting talents in Europe.
The teenager, who played for Rennes in France, is admired my some of the biggest clubs in Europe, and Tottenham are one of them.
Reports have claimed that Doue is Ange Postecoglou’s ‘priority’ target in this summer’s transfer window.
The teenager, who can play anywhere in attack and also in midfield, has all the qualities to succeed under the Australian at Tottenham, and we think he would be a great fit at Spurs.
However, it looks like the Premier League side could miss out on Doue.
Sky Sports Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg has revealed that new Bayern Munich boss Vincent Kompany has personally spoken to Doue about a move to Germany.
The Bundesliga giants are pushing to sign him and are expected to table another bid soon – their first bid was rejected.
Rennes are demanding £50 million plus add-ons for Doue and PSG remain keen on the teenager. However, Plettenberg claims that Bayern are in advanced negotiations with the French club and the player to seal the deal.
The journalist tweeted: “There was a phone call between Vincent Kompany and Desire Doue in recent days! FC Bayern still pushing to sign the 19 y/o top talent from Rennes with immediate effect.
“They are preparing a new and second offer now Understand there are advanced talks between Bayern & Doué and between the clubs.
“But PSG are still there Rennes demand €60 million (£50m) + add-ons at this stage.”

Tottenham’s plan for Doue
It is no secret at this point that Tottenham are interested in signing Doue this summer.
The teenager is almost certain to leave Rennes in this window, and a number of clubs are queueing up to sign him. Spurs are one of them.
Reports have claimed that Tottenham are the most likely English side to sign Doue, and although Bayern seem to be leading the race, Spurs still have a chance.
Postecoglou’s side are active in the window, and it has been claimed that Tottenham are ready to make their own bid for Doue very soon.
However, with Bayern said to be in ‘advanced talks’, Spurs will need to hurry if they want to have any chance of signing him in this window.
