Personal Terms Agreed – He’s leaving 💯Chelsea finally accepts Newcastle offer for 22-year-old STAR who was Sterling’s favorite

Newcastle are closing in on the signing of Chelsea right-winger Noni Madueke, sources have told Football Insider.

Madueke, 22, has agreed personal terms with Newcastle and is now expected to be the most likely of the club’s right-wing targets to join.

The club are in the market for a top-class right-winger after underwhelming 2023-24 seasons from Miguel Almiron and Jacob Murphy in which they only scored eight goals between them.

Madueke has emerged as the first choice after Michael Olise‘s move to Bayern Munich and complications surrounding potential deals for Jarrod Bowen and Crysencio Summerville.

The wide man is currently with Chelsea on their pre-season tour of the USA and featured in their 2-2 draw with Wrexham on Thursday (July 25).

Newcastle want Noni Madueke to improve right-wing options

Football Insider revealed (July 19) that Newcastle had made an approach for Madueke, who has made 46 appearances and scored nine times since joining Chelsea.

Cole Palmer’s meteoric rise to prominence meant Madueke was restricted to the bench but the winger still managed to average a goal every 281 minutes.

Newcastle view Madueke as a significant improvement on what they currently have in his position and are now well placed to secure his signature.

Chelsea are looking to make a profit on Madueke, who was signed from Dutch giants PSV for £29 million in January 2023.

In other news, Newcastle respond to new Alexander Isak overtures.
