NEWS UPDATE: 🗣️Tottenham Hotspur willing to pay £35m for a player running out of contract and form is Ridiculous. 🗣️ Coach Postercoglou won’t survive the season with ‘Mid-Players’

Tottenham Hotspur are looking to add to their squad further before the summer transfer window slams shut later this month.

Ange Postecoglou ‘s side have already snapped up

Lucas Bergvall and Archie Gray, while they have also agreed a deal in principle to sign South Korean attacker Min-hyeok Yang from Gangwok FC, although the youngster is set to remain at his current club until January 2025.

The North London side will aim to build on their fifth-place finish from last season and are still scouring the transfer market for reinforcements.

Manchester United’s Scott McTominay has been linked with a move to Tottenham , with the Scottish midfielder also wanted by Fulham .

Another player Tottenham want is Federico Chiesa, with the winger falling out of favor under new Juventus boss Thiago Motta despite once being dubbed as a ‘world-class’ talent in Italy. However, a renowned football agent has made a rather discouraging claim on Spurs’ pursuit of the Italy international..David Lavelle who works directly for football clubs as an agent and also heads an agency named 365footballmanagement, believes Chiesa is definitely an option for Tottenham.

However, with Juventus demanding £35m for a player whose contract runs out next summer, he finds it unlikely that interested clubs will meet their valuation.

Speaking exclusively to Bianconeri News , he said: “Who among the big clubs has £35m in the Premier League to buy him? It will be tough to sell him. Tottenham could be an option for Chiesa, but they have quite a few players in that position. However, I doubt they will pay £35m.”

Chiesa was dropped for Juventus’ recent pre-season friendly against Brest and is unlikely to play for the club again as he looks set to secure a move before the transfer deadline.

He predominantly played as a second striker last season under Massimiliano Allegri, but his preferred position is on the right flank, where he featured for Italy at Euro 2024.

Tottenham already have Dejan Kulusevski and

Brennan Johnson to play on the right flank, while

Heung-min Son and Manor Solomon are options for the left flank.

Postecoglou’s side have Richarlison and Timo Werner to spearhead the attack and if reports are to be believed, Tottenham want to sign Dominic Solanke from Bournemouth , with the striker believed to have a £65m release clause.

Looking at the options Tottenham already have at their disposal, they’d be better off spending money elsewhere over pressing ahead with their pursuit of Chiesa
