Since his arrival this summer, Lucas Bergvall has been going from strength to at Tottenham Hotspur, immediately considered one of Ange Postecoglou’s first team players.
Despite only previously playing in Sweden’s Allsvenskan, 18-year-old Bergvall has arrived in N17 with a maturity about this game, a player who rarely wastes possession of the ball.

Perhaps some may have imagined that Bergvall would have spent some time with Wayne Burnett’s impressive Premier League 2 side in his early months in north London.
However, Bergvall seems to have immediately pitted himself alongside Archie Gray at Tottenham, who actually cost almost four times more than the young Swede.
Bergvall played 45 minutes in both recent friendlies against Bayern Munich, seemingly demonstrating that he’ll play a considerable role this season.
However, a report in Sunday’s edition of The Mirror may suggest otherwise.
In Sunday’s printed copy (11/08, page 77) it’s claimed that Postecoglou is considering loaning out Bergvall this season, perhaps looking for the Swede to play regular football.

The report was initially stating Tottenham’s plans for Tyrese Hall this season – another excellent young talent at the club.
Hall, who is tipped to be the next breakthrough star for Postecoglou, will head out on loan, a player who Spurs chiefs have ‘high hopes’ for, according to the report.
And along with Hall, The Mirror named four other Spurs youngsters who could be loaned out, including the name of Bergvall.
Tottenham could also seek to find moves for Ashley Phillips, Alfie Devine and Dane Scarlett – a trio who were all on loan in the EFL last season.
Of course, it would be something of a shock if Postecoglou was willing to let Bergvall go in any capacity this summer.
Tottenham have been seriously impressed with Bergvall, who has surpassed expectations that the club had for him initially.
And after Dejan Kulusevski also praised Bergvall recently, it would be a surprise of Spurs didn’t require his services in a season in which they’ll also add Europa League games.
On the other side of the coin, perhaps six-months thriving at a Championship side could ready Bergvall for Spurs’ first team, an excellent young talent.
