Tottenham have surprisingly made the biggest splash out of any Premier League team in the window this summer with their £65m acquisition of Dominic Solanke.
The north London side went big to bring the AFC Bournemouth star back to the English capital, with Solanke last season enjoying his best season yet in the top-flight with an impressive 19 goals for the Cherries.
Whilst Micah Richards has said Solanke will feel pressure at Tottenham, the overall opinion is that Spurs have landed a good player at the right time in his career, with the former Chelsea academy star an ideal fit for Ange Postecoglou.
And Danny Murphy has now predicted how many goals Solanke will score for Tottenham this season.
Solanke tipped to hit 15 goals for Tottenham in debut season
Speaking to TalkSport, the pundit made the sensible prediction that Solanke would score 15 goals for Tottenham in his first year with the club, with the 26-year-old striker set to lead the line for Spurs.
Having almost hit 20 in the Premier League last season, there’s a real chance that Solanke can hit 15 goals for Tottenham in the new campaign, especially whilst playing alongside some top creative operators, such as James Maddison and Heung-min Son.
Murphy said when asked how he thinks Solanke will get on at Tottenham: “I hope he does really well. I think it’s a lot of money to risk on someone who has only proven himself for one season, but I hope he does really well.
“He has had some bad spells. He had disappointments after Liverpool, Chelsea, he has been at big clubs and failed. I hope he continues it, and if he stays fit and healthy, in that Tottenham side, he will get chances. I think he will get 15 (goals).”
Solanke can take his game to the next level at Spurs
It’s been a long an unconventional road to the top for Solanke, yet having now moved to Tottenham for a huge transfer fee, it’s safe to say that the England international has finally made it in the Premier League.
And there’s now a real chance that Solanke could take his game to the next level at Tottenham, with all the tools there for the former Liverpool man to better his goalscoring tally from last season in north London.
Indeed, Solanke will want to prove that he was worth the £65m Tottenham splashed out to sign him, and the striker will be keen to prove a lot of critics wrong on whether or not he can do the business for a big Premier League side.
