The two Premier League outfits could cause a nightmare transfer situation for Bologna.
West Ham and Newcastle United could look to hijack the transfer of defender Logan Costa to Bologna this summer, according to reports from France.
The Magpies are known to be in the market for a centre-back having seen multiple bids for
rejected by Crystal Palace in recent days. That position has also been a priority area to strengthen for Julen Lopetegui, with Max Kilman and Jean-Clair Todibo arriving at the London Stadium, but the club have proved relentless in recruitment this summer and could move for another reinforcement.
Costa is said to have caught the eye of both the Premier League sides. The Hammers had previously been linked with the 23-year-old this window but those reports had cooled with Kilman and Todibo’s arrival.
The Toulouse defender looked to be on the verge of completing a £13 million switch to Serie A club Bologna but renewed Premier League interest has thrown that into jeopardy.
now claims that the Ligue 1 club could look to demand £20 million as they encourage a bidding war.
