SHOCKING REACTION AS SPURS OFFERED THE CHANCE TO SIGN ONE OF THE HIGHEST GOAL SCORING ATTACKER AS A FREE AGENT

Football Insider claim that Tottenham Hotspur are one of several clubs who have now been offered the chance to sign Turkey international Yusuf Yazici, who is currently a free agent.

Tottenham could still sign free agents

The transfer window might have closed but it appears that Spurs might not be done adding to their squad, with Yazici emerging as an option for the club.

The attacking midfielder, who can also operate out wide, scored 12 goals and provided four assists for Lille last season but his contract at the Ligue 1 club ran out back in June.Football Insider reveal that the Turkish star’s representatives have offered the player to the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham.

Could Tottenham sign Yusuf Yazici?

The report adds that even though the 27-year-old was not able to secure a move over the last three months, there is no shortage of interest in his service.

Aston Villa and Newcastle United are said to be among the clubs currently monitoring Yazici’s situation as the player considers his next move.

The publication adds that as things stand, it is Galatasaray who are at the front of the queue to win the race for the former Lille star.

Spurs Web Opinion

An attacking midfielder/winger is the last thing that Ange Postecoglou needs right now, with the Spurs boss having plenty of options for those roles at the moment.

Maddison, Kulusevski and Bergvall are all capable of operating as number tens, while the likes of Kulusevski, Johnson, Werner, Odobert, Son, and Moore have the wings covered.

According to recent reports, Aston Villa and Newcastle United are keeping a close eye on Yazici’s situation, as the talented midfielder weighs his options for his next move. However, as things currently stand, Turkish giants Galatasaray are leading the pack in the pursuit of the former Lille star.

Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur boss Ange Postecoglou is unlikely to be tempted by Yazici’s services, as the Spurs squad is already well-stocked with attacking midfielders and wingers. With the likes of Maddison, Kulusevski, and Bergvall capable of operating as number tens, and a plethora of options including Kulusevski, Johnson, Werner, Odobert, Son, and Moore available for the wing positions, Postecoglou’s priority lies elsewhere.

While Yazici’s skills and experience would undoubtedly be an asset to any team, Tottenham’s current roster makes an attacking midfielder/winger the last thing on Postecoglou’s shopping list. Instead, the Spurs manager may focus on strengthening other areas of the squad to maintain a competitive edge in the Premier League.
