One of the biggest disappointments of West Ham’s season so far has been the lack of goal contributions from star boy Mohammed Kudus.
West Ham go to Brentford in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon with Julen Lopetegui desperate for a win.
The Hammers have won just one Premier League game under Lopetegui so far.
While the fixture list has not been the kindest, Lopetegui is lucky in that West Ham will have only had to leave the confines of London once in the first two months of the season.
That long trip north to Liverpool ended in disaster on Wednesday night when West Ham acquitted themselves well until a second half collapse ended in a 5-1 defeat.
Edson Alvarez’s brainless sending off did not help matters.
And that will mean he is missing for West Ham at Brentford on Saturday.

Mohammed Kudus and others are yet to step up to the plate.
Jarrod Bowen has not hit full speed yet either since being named Hammers captain.

But there is a lack of chemistry in the forward line and the Irons have created the second fewest big chances in the top flight.
Goodness knows West Ham’s manager needs a win at Brentford.

Kudus says he has loved the welcome given to him in east London since joining the club.
West Ham will wear their black ‘cockney’ away kit for the game.
Kudus was the poster boy for that kit launch.
And now he says he can’t wait to wear it against the Bees and dance in in while celebrating a goal.“My favourite kit is the away one, but the home kit is the traditional West Ham jersey. I like the design, colour and everything else about it,” Kudus told the club’s website .
“I can’t wait [to wear it] and dance a little bit in it!
“The welcome I’ve had has been great and the fans have received me very well, and so have the team, so it’s been good for settling in for the first time.”
