Chelsea could sell Conor Gallagher and former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jamie O’Hara would welcome the England international at the Premier League giants.

There is interest (again) from Tottenham Hotspur.

Ange Postecoglou’s side failed with a £40 million deadline day bid for Gallagher in September, Chelsea holding out for £50 million, per The Standard.
And O’Hara would welcome the idea of Galagher becoming the first player to join Spurs from their London neighbours since Carlo Cudicini all the way back in 2008.
“I really like Gallagher,” O’Hara, a League Cup winner with Spurs 15 years ago, tells talkSPORT (12 December, 9.40am).
“He’s got brilliant energy, he gets around the pitch. He lacks a bit of what (James) Maddison has got, in terms of star quality, but he’s got energy. And you’ve seen with Ange Postecoglou, he likes high energy.”
Gallagher has been a bright spark in another dark season for Chelsea. Arguably their star performer in Sunday’s 2-0 defeat by Everton. And, with Rodrigo Bentancur’s injury issues continuing and with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg likely to leave at some point in 2024, there may be space in Postecoglou’s team for another hard-running, box-to-box midfielder.

“I would be surprised if Chelsea let him go,” O’Hara adds. “He’s been quite a big part of their side. Only him, Cole Palmer and Raheem Sterling have done any good!
“But if they want to (sell), yeah, we will take him.”
Tottenham’s January priority, however, appears to be a centre-half rather than a central midfielder. Spurs want support for the injured Micky van de Ven and the card-happy Cristian Romero. Sebastian Caceres, Koki Machida and AC Milan’s Malick Thiaw are potential candidates.
