Fabrizio Romano shares update on Simone Inzaghi and other Tottenham manager targets with Ange Postecoglou’s job in danger

Fabrizio Romano shares update on Simone Inzaghi and other Tottenham manager targets with Ange Postecoglou’s job in danger.

Tottenham Hotspur have started exploring the manager’s market.

Ange Postecoglou is still at the helm at Spurs, but after what has been a shocking season domestically, there is a big chance that we could see a change in management.

TBR Football exclusively revealed in March that Daniel Levy has told Postecoglou that European football is the minimum requirement at Spurs.

Winning the Europa League would be the only way to make that happen, but even the most optimistic fans have their doubts over whether their side can go all the way.

That is why Postecoglou’s future is in danger, and Fabrizio Romano has now shared the latest.

Fabrizio Romano shares update on Tottenham managerial situation and Simone Inzaghi links

Postecoglou is still fighting hard to retain his job at Tottenham, and he truly believes that there is light at the end of the tunnel in his project.

But, Spurs fans are far from happy with the results, and Postecoglou cupping his ears while facing the away end at Stamford Bridge didn’t do him any favours.

The Europa League clash against Eintracht Frankfurt is the biggest game of Tottenham’s season, and Romano has confirmed that there could be a change if Postecoglou’s men crash out of that competition.

But, the journalist has played down rumours that have claimed that Inter Milan boss Simone Inzaghi could be heading to Spurs.

He said in a video on his YouTube channel: “It’s not over yet, but it’s a dangerous situation with Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham.

Spurs fans are not happy with the current situation. It’s really poor, 34 points in 30 games in the Premier League. In the Europa League, it’s a different story. They have an important clash against Eintracht Frankfurt. So, Europa League is saving the season for Tottenham and Ange Posteocoglou.

“The Europa League will be really important because if Tottenham win it, it could change the whole sense of the project – next season would be Champions League and a trophy finally for Spurs.

“Otherwise, the expectation is for a very concrete and strong chance for Tottenham to replace Ange Postecoglou.”

Speaking about Inzaghi, Romano said: “There are links with Simone Inzaghi, but I can guarantee that Inzaghi is completely focused on Inter and is not having any concrete conversations with Tottenham at this point.”

The two managers Tottenham are looking at to replace Ange Postecoglou

Inzaghi would be a fantastic option for Tottenham, but all signs are pointing towards the Italian staying at Inter Milan.

Romano, however, has revealed that Spurs have started ‘exploring’ the market for other managers, and two names are on their list.

The first, as TBR Footbal exclusively revealed in January, is Andoni Iraola of Bournemouth, who is very highly rated inside Tottenham.

Romano has gone as far as saying that ‘Tottenham know everything’ about Iraola, including what it would take to lure him away from Bournemouth.

The other is Fulham boss Marco Silva, who is also a target for Spurs in case Postecoglou faces the sack in the coming weeks or months.

It remains to be seen if Levy will consider other options before he has to make a final decision.
