Leeds United made £85m on this duo, now rated as two worst in PL this season

Leeds United made £85m on this duo, now rated as two worst in PL this season.
Leeds United have made plenty of money with high profile sales in the past few seasons, losing key talent to Premier League clubs in the process.
Promotion back to the Premier League this season is huge news for the club and the majority owners The 49ers Enterprises.
Hopefully, it signals the end of Leeds seeing their best players sold to the Premier League and top clubs across Europe.
How is Archie Gray getting on at Tottenham since his £40million Leeds United exit?
A gut-wrenching side effect of Leeds losing the playoff final nearly 12 months ago was the sale of Archie Gray to Tottenham.
Leeds managed to bank a whopping £40million for the teenage midfielder while their amicable agreement allowed them to beat Premier League interest to take Joe Rodon on a permanent deal.
Since then, Gray has continued to impress at a higher level, but still while playing out of position as a centre-back and right-back, with Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham seriously struggling in the Premier League – sat 16th after 34 league games.
Gray, despite looking like a brilliant talent, will have this season down as a very challenging one filled largely with failure unless they can lift the Europa League title.
Archie Gray and Kalvin Phillips named two ‘worst’ players in the Premier League this season
On paper, Gray’s season has not been judged kindly by the statisticians behind Fotmob’s weekly player ratings for each Premier League game.
Playing at centre-back in a side coached into giving up big chances at will doesn’t help, but Gray’s average rating of 6.11 is the lowest in the division this season.
Second worst in the Premier League is another big-money Leeds sale, £45million midfielder Kalvin Phillips rated at 6.14, currently on loan at relegated Ipswich Town from Manchester City.
The £85million duo have had a tough campaign at the bottom end of the table, and the third-worst could have been in Leeds colours in January if the 49ers got their way – Southampton’s Cameron Archer at 6.18.
