Enough is Enough: 53-Year-Old is Man Utd’s ‘Top Target’ to Replace Amorim

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim could be under severe pressure, and it might be time for them to make a change. Aston Villa boss Unai Emery is reportedly their top target, and they should be doing everything they can to bring him to the club.

United’s latest game saw them comfortably beaten away at Manchester City, with Pep Guardiola’s side barely needing to get out of second gear to secure the three points. Amorim stuck with his usual system, and it yielded the same results, with the Red Devils ending the weekend in 14th position in the Premier League.

Man Utd Target Unai Emery to Replace Amorim

According to reports, Manchester United have made Aston Villa manager Emery their top target if they do look to make a chance in the dugout. It’s claimed that there is unrest at Villa Park after a disappointing start to the season, and it could now be an ideal chance for United to make a move to bring in the Spanish manager.

There’s no doubt Emery is an upgrade on Amorim, and although it’s early in the Premier League season, the latter has shown very little in almost a year. His current system isn’t getting the best out of some talented players, and it could be time for a change. There’s no guarantee Emery would be available, but it’s also been a disappointing start to the campaign for Villa.

Emery has shown he’s more adaptable than Amorim, and he’s had plenty of success at Premier League level, transforming Villa from a side competing in the bottom half of the table to qualifying for the Champions League.

The likes of Luke Shaw and Manuel Ugarte have been a disappointment for Amorim this season, but the United boss regularly plays them in the starting XI. His stubbornness not to change could cost him, and a move for Emery should be made as soon as possible to try and rescue their campaign before it’s too late.
