OPTA PREDICTS TOTTENHAM’S NEXT 10-GAMES AND IT’S NOT A GOOD ONE – FANS IN UPROAR.

Opta have now crunched the numbers to deduce which sides have the most difficult set of fixtures over the next ten matches and Tottenham rank very high up on the list.

Next 10 matches will be crucial for Ange Postecoglou’s tenure

The pressure has been mounting on Ange Postecoglou since Tottenham‘s loss to Ipswich, with some fans questioning if he is the right man for the job.

The Tottenham head coach has to turn the ship around quickly and show that he can bring some sort of consistency to the side if he is to avoid being part of the sack race discussion.

However, unfortunately for the Spurs boss, things do not get much easier for his side over the next two months, with the Lilywhties facing an extremely challenging run of fixtures.

Difficulty of Tottenham’s fixtures ranked

Opta (via GiveMeSport) have now deduced which teams have the most difficult set of fixtures coming up and it does not make for good reading for Spurs.

According to their calculations, Tottenham have the third hardest set of fixtures in their next ten Premier League games, behind just Everton and Leicester City.

That is not surprising when one considers that Spurs will have to play the likes of Manchester City, Fulham, Chelsea, Liverpool, Nottingham Forest, Newcastle and Arsenal within their next ten league fixtures.

One silver lining for Tottenham

The one silver lining for Tottenham amidst their upcoming run of fixtures is the fact that they might actually enjoy coming up against sides which will play on the front foot.

Spurs seem to struggle much more against sides who defend in a low block and counter-attack. They might find some joy against the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool and Man City, who will go toe-to-toe with them and leave space in-behind to be exploited.
