EVERTON PLOTTING OUTRAGEOUS MOVE FOR £120K-A-WEEK MAN UTD PLAYER WHO ‘WANTED TO QUIT’ THE CLUB.
Everton picked up a valuable point against Arsenal on the weekend.
The Toffees held Arsenal to a goalless draw and there were a number of excellent displays across the pitch.
Gary Lineker hailed Jordan Pickford for his five-save performance whilst Ashley Young earned plaudits once again.
The veteran full-back has deputized superbly well in the absence of Seamus Coleman, who has been plagued by injuries this season.
Armando Broja also received praise for his cameo off the bench and many Everton fans have urged Sean Dyche to start him moving forward, though, he won’t be available for the clash against Chelsea this weekend.
Broja, the Chelsea loanee, is ineligible to play against his parent club, so Dominic Calvert-Lewin is expected to get the nod once again.
The landscape is certainly looking bright on Merseyside now and with the Friedkin Group set to complete their Everton takeover, there could be funds available to spend in January.
With that said, it’s just come to light that Everton are showing an interest in a Manchester United player who’s available for sale.
Everton want to sign Man United defender Victor Lindelof
According to Caught Offside, Everton are showing an interest in signing Manchester United centre-back Victor Lindelof.
Lindelof, who earns around £120,000-a-week (Capology), is out of contract in the summer and the report claims United are willing to sanction his sale this winter.
Ruben Amorim has transfer listed almost half of his squad and Lindelof looks like he could be one of the first players to leave Old Trafford.
The Sweden international is also willing to leave the club mid-season, so it could be a fairly straightforward deal to do for Everton.
Though, they face competition from Premier League duo Newcastle United and West Ham.
Everton don’t need to sign a centre-back
Everton have far more important issues to address this winter than at centre-back.
Jarrad Branthwaite, James Tarkowski, Jake O’Brien and Michael Keane are more than sufficient depth in that area, so it’s surprising the club are even looking at defensive options.
The Merseysiders are in desperate need of a striker as Calvert-Lewin and Beto have scored a combined three league goals this term.
Plus, Beto is likely to leave Everton in January, so they must prioritise replacing the centre-forward first and foremost.
Everton are set for a busy and chaotic week.
That’s because the Friedkin Group are expected to complete their Everton takeover on Wednesday, after a long drawn-out process.
The American investors have just gained Premier League approval and now the finishing touches on the deal are being made.
Whilst that process nears completion, Dan Friedkin is already lining up a £100m deal for Everton as he seeks a sponsor for the new stadium on Bramley-Moor Dock.
The colossus deal would allow The Toffees much more freedom to spend in future transfer windows and it would eliminate the risk of any further PSR breaches.
With that said, it’s just come to light what the Friedkin Group are planning to do this Janaury window.

According to TEAMtalk, the Friedkin Group are planning to invest in the January transfer window and hope to bring in some new signings.
Everton are in desperate need of a centre-forward and Brighton’s Evan Ferguson has been linked with a move to Goodison Park.
Brazil striker Igor Jesus is also an option for Everton and he is thought to be available for around £16.5m.
The Toffees could also strengthen their backline with Tariq Lamptey a potential successor to veteran full-back Seamus Coleman.
Ashley Young has deputized well in place of the injured Coleman but as he approaches his 40th birthday, Everton must plan for the future.
Sunderland midfielder Chris Rigg is also an option for Sean Dyche this winter.
Friedkin Group are mindful of PSR restrictions
It’s understood the Friedkin’s are very mindful of Everton’s PSR restrictions and recognise the club remain in a weak position on that front.
Last month, Everton News revealed that The Toffees still have scars left from the PSR breaches earlier this year and there are still unresolved issues with the Premier League.
So, that could significantly limit their spend this winter, meaning it’s vital the club are trading and raising capital through player sales.
Beto is likely to leave Everton as he eyes a return to Italy.
