Fabrizio Romano drops Man Utd transfer bombshell after confirming Antony’s exit and nobody expected it.
Fabrizio Romano has delivered a huge transfer update concerning Manchester United.
On Sunday afternoon, United suffered another dismal defeat at Old Trafford against Brighton and Hove Albion.
Thanks to goals from Yankuba Minteh, Kaoru Mitoma and Georginio Rutter, the Seagulls came away 3-1 winners. Bruno Fernandes was the scorer for Ruben Amorim’s men.
As a result, the Red Devils are 13th in the Premier League table as Amorim faces more problems on the field.
Off the pitch, it has been heavily reported that Brazilian winger Antony is set to leave the club during this month’s transfer window, with La Liga side Real Betis said to be closing in on a loan deal.
Transfer specialist Romano confirmed the Antony transfer on his YouTube channel and hinted at a possible new signing as a potential replacement for the outgoing winger.

He said: “What does it (Antony’s exit) mean? It means that Manchester United will be active on the market in that position in the next few days.
“Manchester United are expected to do something. Also because my expectation is also for Tyrell Malacia to leave.”
Romano’s latest update will be good news for United fans as not many of them expected the club to target a winger during the transfer window.
The likes of Bryan Mbeumo, Dorgeles Nene and Jamie Bynoe-Gittens have all been linked with a potential move to Old Trafford.
Speaking after the defeat by Brighton, Amorim said: “It was similar to other games. We suffer some goals we shouldn’t suffer and then it’s really hard to have possession because we are really anxious.
“We played some good football but only in small spaces of time. So it was not consistent and we get nervous and then suffer a goal again in the beginning.”
He added: “Then it’s really hard to turn things around. We get really anxious and really nervous and they were better. It’s palpable outside the pitch and everything gets really messy.
United return to action on Thursday night when they take on Rangers in the Europa League.
