Nuno Espírito Santo Demands three key players leave the Club Immediately. He’s already named their replacements

West Ham United star James Ward-Prowse hit the headlines after he was ruthlessly left out of the matchday squad for the draw at Everton on Monday, with it already becoming clear that he is not in new head coach Nuno Espirito Santo’s plans, but teammate Jean-Clair Todibo will surely follow him in heading through the London Stadium exit door when the transfer window reopens.

The Hammers’ new era got off to a promising start as they grabbed a share of the spoils on Merseyside, thanks to Jarrod Bowen’s deflected strike cancelling out Michael Keane’s towering header, and adjustments are quickly being made to the squad following the sacking of Graham Potter last weekend.

Ward-Prowse was left in east London instead of travelling to Everton for the Premier League clash, highlighting that Nuno is already stamping his authority in his new surroundings, while Todibo was also nowhere to be seen and may have made his final appearance in a West Ham shirt.

Todibo’s Problems Behind the Scenes Are Concerning
Todibo had a fractious relationship with Potter, with it emerging that he turned up late for training less than 24 hours after the then-head coach had told him to improve his performances, and his West Ham career is surely over following the appointment of Nuno because the tactician will take no prisoners.

Although the central defender only became a permanent member of the Hammers’ squad during the summer transfer window, as the east Londoners had an obligation to buy him for close to £33million at the end of an initial loan spell, there are already clear indications that the cash would have been put to better use elsewhere.

Not only have there been issues behind the scenes, namely falling out with Potter and having poor time-keeping, but Todibo has failed to make one of the berths at the heart of the backline his own even though West Ham have been easily breached by a host of opponents since the campaign got underway.
Chelsea scored five against the Hammers last month, while Sunderland, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Tottenham Hotspur have also found the back of the net three times when facing the capital club this term, so being unable to become one of the first names on the team sheet is a serious concern for the two-cap France international.

There have been suggestions that Todibo was not included in West Ham’s matchday squad for the trip to Everton due to illness, which would explain why he was not even on the bench. But, after turning up late for training and having disagreements with Nuno’s predecessor, his career appears to only be heading in one direction.
Nuno’s treatment of Ward-Prowse highlights that the former Nottingham Forest chief is not afraid to make big decisions, regardless of whether he is only a matter of days into the job, so Todibo needs to quickly change his attitude and make a positive impression at the training ground if he wants to stand a chance of turning his West Ham career around.

The problem for the Hammers is that the 25-year-old former Barcelona man is on a contract which allows him to pocket up to £100,000-per-week when bonuses are triggered, meaning that a serious amount of money is being thrown down the drain every time he is not involved.

At this stage, the writing already appears to be on the wall for Todibo. Unless there is a significant U-turn, his days at West Ham may be numbered.
