Tottenham have named Everton ace Jarrad Branthwaite high on their defender shortlist amid an injury crisis, according to Sky Sports.

The online news outlet reported on Thursday [7 December] that Spurs are targeting the Toffees defender in January, alongside Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi and Jean-Clair Todibo from Nice, as a possible priority signing.
Branthwaite is said to be a vital cog in Sean Dyche’s machine, and it is reported that it would not be easy to prize him away from Goodison Park midway through the season.
A tough decision to make

Everton’s financial situation makes this deal much more concerning. The whole world knows about the profit and sustainability breach, followed by the 10-point deduction.
