Ahead of a possible Champions League debut tonight, details of Reuell Walters’ start to life at Arsenal have now been emerging.

The 18-year-old is currently in Eindhoven with the rest of Mikel Arteta’s side and two other promising youngsters.
And before a potential start for Walters against PSV tonight, The Telegraph have now been detailing his emergence.

A report shared how Walters ended up joining Arsenal in 2020, having left Tottenham Hotspur to do so.
And if he wasn’t already popular enough with Arsenal fans, he certainly will be now.

Walters ended up choosing to leave Spurs as he stopped enjoying his time there, even if the club viewed him as a player of real promise.

And when a move to Manchester United fell through, all was in place for Walters to make the North London switch.
Fast forward to now, and Reuell Walters will certainly not be regretting his decision ahead of a possible debut for Arsenal in the Champions League.

It’s not a surprise to see the versatile defender reach this level so soon, especially given Oleksandr Zinchenko’s commendation.

Along with Walters, Lino Sousa and Ethan Nwaneri have also made the trip to Holland, two excellent talents.

And whilst those names won’t spring a surprise, it may come as a shock to some Arsenal fans that Myles Lewis-Skelly hasn’t travelled.
Alongside Nwaneri, Lewis-Skelly is considered to be one of the brightest talents in Arsenal’s academy.

However, it simply seems that he wasn’t chosen for this squad on the basis of the profiles available.

That being said, there will still be a lot for Arsenal fans to get excited about in tonight’s earlier kick off.
Mikel Arteta is expected to make a host of changes to his starting XI, eight in total.

And tonight should be a chance for Arsenal to enjoy a rare evening with the handbrake off, ahead of a busy festive period.

Reuell Walters still does seem a long-way off a regular first team spot at Arsenal, such is the jump for youngsters right now.

But with such a big opportunity tonight, fans will be hoping that he may start to force his case.
