“You can’t say that man,…..”: Chelsea hero Eden Hazard blasts Mikel Obi for what he just said about Tottenham and Ange Postecoglou [Full story link in comment]

Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea have been eternal rivals since anyone can remember, and Blues legend Eden Hazard was quick to remind his former teammate John Obi Mikel never to ever sing their praise.

Spurs have been better than the Stamford Bridge club this term, with manager Ange Postecoglou turning them into a force to reckon with in the Premier League since his arrival last summer.

While Chelsea are currently struggling under former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino, Spurs are one of the favourites to finish in the top-four and were once tipped to challenge for the title.

The North London club are fifth in the table after 25 games, with two points separating them from fourth-placed Aston Villa, while the Blues are 10th and 14 points off the top-four.

Hazard was expressing his concerns about his old club, claiming Pochettino cannot be blamed as the Premier League has become tougher.

While mentioning clubs that are currently better than Chelsea on the latest episode of The Obi One Podcast, Mikel Obi mentioned Tottenham, but the Belgian was not having it, quickly correcting the Nigerian.

Hazard: “You see now, I think Manchester City, they are better than Chelsea. You see, Liverpool, they are better than Chelsea.”

Obi: “Tottenham?”

Hazard: “No, Tottenham are not.”

Obi: “But right now, right now, though, they are playing a bit better. They are playing better, they are like third or fourth in the league.”

Hazard: “They play good football. Yea, yea. But you know Tottenham. As a Chelsea legend, you also you can’t say that man.”

Obi: “I’m not saying they are going to win the league, though, but right now.”

Hazard: “That’s for sure.”

Obi: “For sure, Tottenham and Arsenal, they are not going to win the league.”

Spurs have clearly been the better side this term, but no Chelsea fan is allowed to admit that and wish them well.

The North Londoners will most likely finish above the Blues this term, but Pochettino will be desperate to win his first-ever piece of silverware in England when his side take on Liverpool in the final of the Carabao Cup later this month.
