John Wenham claims Tottenham defender Emerson Royal is more likely to head to the Saudi Pro League this summer than AC Milan.
The owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose believes the 25-year-old would be prepared to swap life in North London for Saudi Arabia.
It comes after Fabrizio Romano revealed via X (21 May) that Spurs are willing to let Emerson go, with the right-back on AC Milan’s list of targets.
But Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – feels a move to Saudi is more likely.
“I think Emerson will be one of the players who leaves this summer, and I could see him moving to Saudi Arabia,” Wenham said.
“AC Milan are interested, but I don’t think they will be able to afford him.
“Some people will question whether Emerson will want to go to Saudi Arabia, but I think he will. There are plenty of Brazilian stars out there, and if an offer comes in, I would let him go.
“If we could sell him for £20million, that would be phenomenal.”

Emerson has been nothing more than a bit-part player this season.
If big-money as well as first-team football is on offer, it is hard to see the defender turning that down.
While it would be a shame to lose Emerson from a squad depth point of view, Ange Postecoglou is unlikely to lose much sleep.
As long as the fee is reinvested into an adequate replacement, then the Australian is unlikely to stand in Emerson’s way.
