Tottenham Hotspur could now be set to sell yet another player this summer after a fresh bid has just been lodged.
It has been a busy summer for Tottenham when it comes to outgoings with the Lilywhites offloading a number of players.
The north London side have now jetted off to Japan to begin their pre-season tour of Asia which has seen some potential summer exits left at home in Bryan Gil and Sergio Reguilon.
When it comes to players arriving at the club, it has not quite been the same story with Ange Postecoglou only seeing one permanent signing secured.
And the story could be set to continue over the coming days with Tottenham having now received a bid which has met their asking price for one of their players.
Tottenham receive bid worth asking price for one of their players
This summer has proven a frustrating one for Spurs in some aspects given the main focus has been on offloading players.
That is something which Tottenham have needed to do for a long time with the likes of Tanguy Ndombele now off the books.
However, it does seem as if the north London side are struggling in their efforts to get new faces through the door with only Archie Gray having been signed.
The trend of departing players can’t go on for too much longer with Spurs nearing the end of their transfer list, but there is still one player who has openly admitted he’d like to leave this summer.
According to Premier League Brasil, Spurs have now received a bid worth their asking price for Emerson Royal.
This comes after Galatasaray are said to have lodged their own bid for the Brazilian right-back.
However, it is claimed AC Milan have now lodged a bid for Emerson which is believed to have met Tottenham’s asking price of around €20m (£17m) for the defender.
Emerson is now expected to make the move to the San Siro on a five-year deal if the two clubs can now finalise the agreement.
Emerson Royal getting his ‘dream’ move to AC Milan
Although he has remained respectful to Tottenham, Emerson has been very vocal in his comments made over the summer about a potential move.
The Brazilian has struggled to impress Postecoglou since the Australian was appointed last summer – despite scoring a stunning goal in Postecoglou’s first game as Spurs manager.
The ‘unbelievable’ Emerson has told Spurs he would like to move to AC Milan with the prospect of playing Champions League football for Milan said to be a dream move.
And it now appears that dream is edging closer to reality with the 25-year-old now nearing a move to play for the famous Italian outfit.
