MAGPIES MASTERMOVE: Newcastle Unleash Transfer Coup to Snatch ‘Incredible’ Talent from West Ham’s Grasp – £30m Showdown Looms

Newcastle United are attempting to hijack West Ham United’s move to sign a top-class player in the summer transfer window.

West Ham head coach Julen Lopetegui has numerous transfer targets lined up in the summer transfer window, as he looks to bolster his ranks before the start of the new season.

And now Newcastle could cause him a serious problem in the race to sign one of those players in particular.

West Ham are ready to deal with the threat from the Toon though.

These are exciting times to be a Hammers fan. Numerous players have already come out and spoken about how much they love Lopetegui’s way of working, with Vladimir Coufal the latest to rave about the Spaniard’s methods.

Still, the most important thing for the West Ham head coach will be to secure three or four more top-class signings before the start of the new Premier League campaign.

That’s clearly what he’s trying to do, and Newcastle could be set to make his job a whole lot more difficult.

Newcastle try to hijack West Ham summer transfer window move

The Toon are threatening to spoil one of Lopetegui’s key summer transfer plans it seems.

It’s an obvious concern given Newcastle’s incredible wealth and ambition to force their way back inside the top four this season.

A new update has just surfaced regarding the Magpies’ move to sign someone who is a priority target for the Hammers.

According to a report from Give Me Sport, Newcastle have entered the race to sign Lopetegui target Trevoh Chalobah from Chelsea.

However, the Hammers are ready to go head-to-head with the Magpies in the fight for the 25-year-old’s signature this summer, and are not backing down.

West Ham are said to be very keen on signing the English defender, and are allegedly prepared to sell one of Nayef Aguerd or Kurt Zouma in order to help facilitate the deal.

Fabrizio Romano, via Caught Offside, has claimed that Chalobah could cost around £30 million this summer.

Whilst that seems a little steep, the Chelsea star is a fantastic defender, and the fact that he can play at right-back as well as at centre-back means that he could still be considered as good value for money.

Described as an ‘incredible’ defender by Football.London, the 25-year-old possesses blistering pace, is aerially dominant, and reads the game very well indeed.

In my view, he would be the perfect partner for Max Kilman at the heart of the Hammers’ defence for the next five or six years at least.

Newcastle’s interest in signing Chalobah in the summer transfer window is obviously a concern, but it’s so pleasing to hear that West Ham are not backing down from the fight.
