Newcastle United are reportedly plotting a surprise move to sign Man United winger Antony in the January transfer window.
Football Insider previously revealed that Man United are open to accepting permanent and loan offers for the Brazilian, who has struggled to find his footing at Old Trafford.

The 24-year-old signed for United in 2022 from Ajax for £86million, but he’s only managed to score 11 goals in 83 appearances.
Newcastle were desperate to sign a right-winger during the summer transfer window after missing out on Michael Olise but were they unable to secure anyone.
According to Caught Offside, the Magpies are now considering a move for Antony if they’re unable to sign Anthony Elanga.
Newcastle had attempted to sign the Nottingham Forest winger on deadline-day but failed in their pursuit.

Football Insider revealed that Newcastle are expected to make a new move to sign Elanga in January as they’re determined to land him.
However, Man United’s Antony will now be considered a back-up option if that deal doesn’t go through.
Antony has fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford and has only appeared for one minute this season.

The Brazil international has been on the bench for all of Man United’s games this season, being an unused substitute for three of them.
He came on in the dying embers of Man United’s 2-1 defeat against Brighton but was unable to influence the game.
