West Ham & Newcastle set sights on ‘next Arjen Robben’ – journalist

West Ham and Newcastle have reportedly sent scouts to watch Sindre Walle Egeli who has been likened to legendary Dutch winger Arjen Robben.

According to Graeme Bailey, the 18-year-old winger is attracting significant interest from multiple Premier League clubs after an impressive start to the season.

The two clubs face competition from London-based duo Crystal Palace and Brentford for the signature of the FC Nordsjaelland star.

Palace are said to view Egeli as a potential successor to Michael Olise who joined German giants Bayern Munich in the summer for £50.8million.

Brighton, who have a history of singing young stars from the Danish club – having bought Simon Adingra and Ibrahim Osman for a combined £23million – are also interested.

The Danish club currently sit in seventh place with eleven points from their opening seven Superligaen games.

Norway next face Slovenia in the UEFA Nations League on Wednesday (September 11) but will be without star man Martin Odegaard.
