Tottenham star has blown a supporter away with a superb performance yesterday on international game

Tottenham star has blown a supporter away with a superb performance yesterday on international game.

John Wenham has hailed the “great progress” Callum Olusesi is making at Tottenham.

The owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose has detailed how the 17-year-old is already playing ahead of his age group.

Olusesi started and bagged a brace for England’s Under-18s in their 3-1 win over Ukraine’s Under-18s in Marbella on Monday (14 October).

And Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – has detailed the midfielder’s special relationship with Spurs sensation Mikey Moore, who has been tipped to push for a permanent first-team spot ahead of Son Heung-min.

“Olusesi playing with the Under-21s this season is great,” Wenham said.

“You have to remember, he is still a second-year academy player, just like Mikey Moore. Therefore, he is already playing a year up.

“He is fantastic and has been making great progress at Tottenham. He is Moore’s childhood best friend, they’ve been together since they were very young. So it has been good to see.”

Callum Olusesi to shine under Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham?

Olusesi has scored three goals in six Premier League 2 matches for Spurs’ Under-21s this season.

It is worth remembering that the player is still only 17. Therefore, it would be fair to say that he is playing ahead of his years, just as Wenham has suggested.

As a result, Ange Postecoglou could decide to take a closer look at the youngster in a first-team capacity.

Wenham has speculated that Olusesi could leave Spurs on loan in January. However, before that happens, Postecoglou would be wise to take a closer look.

With UEFA Europa League games still to come, and Postecoglou proving he isn’t afraid to throw youngsters in at the deep end, a first-team chance might not be far off for Olusesi.
